Time for reminiscing.
When I was in high school I had absolutely no clue as to what I wanted to major in. I fluttered around from topic to topic hoping that I would figure it out before I turned 25. I remember my parents sitting down with me and discussing career options. My dad (a laced up conservative State Farm employee) pushed for a career that would provide financial stability and room for growth. My mom (a P.E. and health teacher/hilarious “free spirit”) encouraged me to find a career path that I would truly enjoy for the rest of my days. I was clueless. While at college I started off as a graphic design major and later turned to photography and received my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Art History. Do you know what you can do with a BFA? Very little. It was not until I started subbing that I realized that I loved being in a classroom. I get excited to see students succeed and flourish. I am happy with my career path even though it took me a long time to realize what I should do. Now that I’m in my thirties (no comments) I would say there are only a few other options that I would have embraced for my career path. I could see myself becoming a labor and delivery nurse because I love babies and pregnancy even though it is all disgusting. I also love photography sessions with families and children. But do I have the guts to open my own studio business. Nope. So here is my point. There are so many options out there we can’t cover them all in a year. But I want you to explore the field of art. Being a director also though requires being a good leader, think you could do that?

I don't see any shame in wanting a job for its salary. But the fact that it sounds like a fulfilling career as well is pretty outstanding. It's always worth considering that creative jobs are pretty malleable. If there are aspects about the job that you don't like or wish were a part of it, you can generally make adjustments to include or remove them. Even moreso if you work freelance.

I can't blame you for being interested in advertisement directing, considering the pay. It also seems like something that you could have a bit of fun with, though it might be a little hard to get a job in at first.

Have a good salary is cool and everything but branch out of your comfort zone. That's the only way to grow (and you can afford to grow)

Can my major be marrying someone rich? I'm sure I could find a degree for that.

Nice to see you've got a technical approach with your art. It's really important to consider the demand for your art and how much money it will make you when choosing a career in the fields of art.

Your choice on choosing your career suit you because you are very talented at drawing anything dealing with 2D. I enjoy seeing your work and I would like to see more.

That job describes you Chloe. I think you would be a great graphic illustrator! And in Martins undying words "marry first for love, then the second for money." But if it were me I would switch the order. That way you're rich and in love. (And old guys don't go for old women, when they have money)

Would not a concept artist draw other people's concepts since you are working for somebody else? It still would be a cool job. :)

Concept artistry seems to have a respectable salary, and it seems to be something that interests you more than anything else. It would be a good profession to get into, but at the same time, I feel that something akin to costume design would be a nice career to start in.

Hey, yeah, so there are apparently, like, seven thousand jobs involving art and whatnot, and while many seem either oddly specific or incredibly difficult, there are a few broader fields that sound not only intriguing but feasible. Among these, the ones that popped out to me the most were multimedia design, product design, graphic design, story board artistry and sketch artistry. Aighty, let's get into this.

Your thoughts are solid and the information is through. However, you need to think about your audience when writing your blog. I'm reading this. I'm grading this. I have a guess who wrote it, but without a name on top how do I give a grade? Same with marking points for comments. Put your actually name please and remember that your teacher is reading this post. Yo.

Here we are, seniors in high school...we have 187 days until graduation. As much as we all hate high school, it's scary to think that next year we might not be living with our families or that we might not even be in the same state. For me, it's time to get my act together and figure out what I plan to do for the next 50+ years. It scares the daylights out of me to think about the future and everything. Although, I have come to the conclusion that I would like to work in the art field, I have no idea what I want to do!! Here goes nothing....

Most definitely you got the requirements for any of these careers, you capture the most beautiful interesting picture I've see. To be honest I think you should choose to be a wedding photographer, why because it's said to be the most important day of someones life and you would definitely capture the beauty and enjoyment of the day.
